Article Processing Charges

The Article Processing Charges (APC) play a vital role in supporting the open access publishing model of Instrumentation. As an open access journal, we ensure that the publication costs are covered through APCs, allowing us to provide immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles.

We understand that financial constraints may be a concern for some authors, and we are committed to ensuring that publication fees do not pose a barrier to accessing our journal. In this regard, we are pleased to announce that the APC will be fully waived for all articles submitted and accepted for publication until December 2026. This initiative aims to support and encourage authors to contribute their high-quality research to Instrumentation without any financial burden.

By waiving the APC, we aim to foster inclusivity and ensure that authors from diverse backgrounds have equal opportunities to publish their work in our journal. This waiver reflects our commitment to promoting open access and facilitating the dissemination of knowledge in the field of instrumentation and measurement.

We anticipate that the full waiver of APCs will significantly increase the accessibility and affordability of publishing in Instrumentation. Authors can submit their manuscripts knowing that there will be no direct costs associated with the publication process during this period.

We are proud to offer this waiver and invite authors to take advantage of this opportunity to share their valuable research with the global scientific community through Instrumentation.

At Instrumentation, we understand the importance of providing equitable access to publication opportunities for researchers from diverse backgrounds and regions. To ensure inclusivity and support authors who may face financial challenges, we have established the following Waiver and Discount Policies:

Waiver Policy:

Waivers are available for authors who demonstrate financial hardship or lack of funding to cover the Article Processing Charges (APCs).

Waiver requests should be submitted during the manuscript submission process or upon acceptance. The corresponding author should provide a clear justification for the waiver request, including details about their financial constraints.

Waiver requests will be assessed by the Editorial Board on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration factors such as the quality and significance of the research, the author's financial situation, and the availability of waiver funds.

Authors granted a waiver will receive the same level of publishing services and benefits as those who pay the APC.

Discount Policy:

We also offer discounts on APCs to authors from low-income countries or regions with limited research funding. The discount percentage will be determined based on the World Bank's classification of economies or other relevant criteria.

Eligible authors can request a discount by providing the necessary information during the manuscript submission process. The Editorial Board will review the request and determine the applicable discount.

Authors who receive a discount will receive the same publishing services and benefits as those who pay the full APC, ensuring their work receives equal visibility and recognition.

Our goal with these policies is to promote inclusivity and foster the participation of researchers from diverse backgrounds in Instrumentation. We believe that financial constraints should not hinder the dissemination of valuable research findings and insights.

We encourage authors who may require a waiver or discount to carefully review the eligibility criteria and submit their requests accordingly. Our Editorial Board will treat all requests with confidentiality and fairness, striving to make the publication process accessible to deserving researchers.

Please note that the availability of waivers and discounts is subject to the availability of funds allocated for these purposes. We continuously work towards securing additional resources to support these policies and enhance the reach and impact of the journal.
