Recap of the Successful 16th ICEMI Conference

**International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments (ICEMI) Successfully Concludes its 16th Edition**

*Harbin, China - August 11, 2023* - The International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments (ICEMI), organized by the China Instrument and Control Society, has concluded its 16th edition with resounding success. The conference, held every two years, has been a cornerstone event in the field since its inception in 1992.

ICEMI serves as a premier platform for experts, scientists, and engineers from around the world to convene and share their latest research findings, foster knowledge exchange, and explore innovative insights in electronic measurement and instrumentation.

The conference's plenary sessions, which took place on August 10th, featured a lineup of distinguished speakers who illuminated various dimensions of electronic measurement and instruments:

**Prof. Ruqiang Yan**, from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, delivered a keynote speech on "Physics-Informed Deep Learning Empowering Scientific Intelligent Maintenance."


**Prof. Marco Tartagni**, University of Bologna, Italy, revisited fundamentals to enhance application design with an "Information Theory-Driven Approach."

 

- **Prof. Min Liu**, Beijing Orient Institute of Measurement and Test, China, introduced "The Method of Re-Build Coordinate Time by Means of Pulsar's Pulse Sequence Number."

 

- **Prof. Qingbo He**, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, explored "Computational Sensing with Mechanical Metamaterials."

 

- **Prof. Tin Lun Lam**, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, China, discussed "Key Challenges and Approaches for Multi-robot Collaboration."


**Prof. Dan Wang**, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China, delved into "Data-driven Energy Systems: Applications, Platforms, and Benchmarking."


- **Prof. Yang Liu**, Tianjin University, China, illuminated "Ultrasonics, Sensors and AI: Applications in Quantitative Ultrasonic Guided Wave NDE of Critical Structures."

 

The second day of the conference featured six enlightening sub-sessions, a Young Scholar Forum, and an insightful discussion about the development of the journal Instrumentation. Awards were presented to the best papers of the journal, further inspiring excellence in the field.
